If I were to travel back in time I'd probably pick the 1930s as my destination. I would return in a 1933 Auburn B/T Speedster with armfuls of dresses. Art Deco architecture was bold and clean and the long elegant lines were reflected in fashion. Flapper dresses (soo beautiful but not flattering for many and mighty troublesome as Thoroughly Modern Millie discovered) gave way to more defined and statuesque gowns.
Think: silk, beads and lots of sparkle.
Gold and midnight blue look stunning together and ooze opulence. Glittering centrepieces are the order of the day - the more sparkle the better. And choose either calla lilies or spray larger flowers for a more dramatic finish.
