SALE. 

The word fills me with ripples of excitement and fear in equal measure. It takes real determination to not spend a month's salary in one transaction a la 'Confessions of a Shopaholic'.

It's so easy to get sucked in to buying items which you ordinarily wouldn't have glanced at pre-sale. It's like being on holiday in a foreign country and deciding that plaid (I'm looking at you, USA) would look amazing (it never does). 

The internet can act as a sort of sieve here, but I always prefer to go shopping in person. My vanity loves sashaying along the street, bags a-swinging; and it's not quite the same when no one sees the parcel on the doormat.
